Sharing and Disseminating Information
From University to Community, Region & Nation

Graduate Center for Social and Public Policy

Duquesne University will establish an information system and clearinghouse for the Center, with the following three objectives:

* disseminate project information, including empowerment zone and enterprise communities information, to and from local governments and community groups,

* provide access to information for planning, policy formulation, and program implementation to outreach communities,

* connect with the national clearinghouse, and thereby to other regional clearinghouses established under the program.

The clearinghouse will

* disseminate project information through e-mail, bulletin boards, and data-bases;

* provide access to information for planning, policy formulation, and program implementation, and;

* connect with the national clearinghouse.

Two PCs are available for use in the East Liberty and Hill District WorkSpheres. The WorkSpheres will provide walk-in accessibility to software, including word processing, spreadsheet, text and tabular data retrieval, statistical, personal productivity, project management, and presentation graphics.
